After much anticipation, Trinity College London can now reveal the winners of the 2012 International Playwriting Competition.
Christina Maiden from Durham in the UK has won in the category of Plays Suitable for Young Performers with her play The Last Word and Mariama Ives-Moiba, from Southgate in London has won in the category Plays Suitable for Teenage Audiences with her play A Concrete Jungle Full of Wild Cars.
The Competition received hundreds of entries from all across the world, with the highest number of entries coming from USA; Malta; South Africa; Australia; New Zealand; India; Hong Kong; and the UK.
Christina and Mariama will travel to London to see the premier performances of their plays at the first ever International Festival of Playwriting and Performance at the Unicorn Theatre, London on the 18 & 19 January 2013.
