We are very pleased to announce the forthcoming launch of two new syllabuses for 2018: Piano 2018-2020 and Singing 2018-2021. The new Piano syllabus will be available in June 2017 and the new Singing syllabus will be available in Autumn 2017, with exams for both starting on 1 January 2018. The Piano 2018-2020 syllabus includes new performance repertoire at all levels, encompassing an even wider range of musical styles, making it easier for candidates to demonstrate their own musical style in their exam. Alongside well-known classic and contemporary pieces, the new repertoire also features a number of specially commissioned pieces by contemporary composers. Find out more here. The Singing 2018-2021 syllabus features completely refreshed song lists, with new songs at all levels that span a range of styles, periods and nationalities, offering candidates even more choice than before. Find out more here. Both syllabuses – Singing for the very first time – will be supported by a series of graded repertoire books from Initial to Grade 8. A one year overlap arrangement will be in place for both syllabuses, during which time candidates may offer pieces and technical work requirements from either syllabus, but not a mixture of both.
