Trinity College London selects RM to enhance the digital assessment experience for candidates

6 Nov 2025

Trinity College London has announced a new collaboration with global EdTech provider RM to deliver advanced digital assessment for its world-renowned music and drama qualifications.

The collaboration will see Trinity adopt RM’s secure, cloud-based marking platform to mark performance assessments across the world entirely online. The technology will enable Trinity examiners to watch and assess candidate performances with greater flexibility, consistency and efficiency, while maintaining the rigorous standards and trusted awarding quality that define Trinity.

Our commitment to customer and operational excellence is not just a goal, it’s a mindset that guides every decision we make. By combining our proud heritage with forward looking innovation, we’re ensuring that the experiences we deliver remain relevant, impactful and trusted for many more generations. This digital enhancement builds on and supports Trinity’s ongoing mission to provide quality, accessible assessment experiences to more learners worldwide, combining technology innovation with Trinity’s educational and assessment specialism and integrity.

“For over 150 years, Trinity College London has strived to transform lives through communication and performance, and our portfolio of innovative qualifications sets the standard in assessment excellence,” said Erez Tocker, Trinity’s CEO. “The spirit of quality and integrity drives our ambition to modernise and enhance the assessment experience of our candidates and examiners, offering greater flexibility and choice while maintaining the rigorous and trusted standards that define Trinity. This collaboration with RM reflects our commitment to combining technology with educational integrity – ensuring every candidate enjoys a secure, seamless, and world-class assessment and qualification journey.”

Mark Cook, Chief Executive Officer, RM, said:

“We are pleased that Trinity College London has chosen RM to continue to evolve and modernise the way that its prestigious music and drama qualifications are assessed. Our e-marking technology will enable examiners to view, assess and mark video performances on a single, secure platform, allowing examiners to take a more nuanced approach and providing learners with richer feedback.”
