What happens on the day? ISE II (B2)

Take a few minutes to see what it's like to take a SELT test with Trinity.

At a Trinity centre

Find out what happens when you arrive at a Trinity centre to take your SELT exam. The following video gives you a better understanding of what your experience at a Trinity centre will be like from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave by taking you through the process step-by-step.

What do I need to bring to the Trinity SELT centre?

When you get to your SELT test centre, we will need to do some security checks before you are able to take your exam. You must bring the following with you for these checks:

  • Your ID
  • If you register with a  physical ID  you must bring this with you on the test day. This must be the original, not a copy.
  • If you register with a  UK eVisa  we will view this online. We do not accept copies of UK eVisas.
Please note, if you don't bring an acceptable form of ID with you then you won't be able to take your SELT test.

You can't bring personal items like phones, headphones, smartwatches, bags, or hats (unless for religious reasons) into the exam room. Lockers are available at the test centre to store your things. After removing these items, you'll go through a security check. Not following these rules could lead to disqualification and prevent you from taking another SELT exam with Trinity College London.

What is the exam like?

The following are sample videos to help you prepare for the test. All SELT exams are taken at one of our UKVI approved SELT test points. You will take your one-to-one speaking and listening test with a Trinity examiner online via video conference.

They are not intended to show model exam performance.
