Topic: Pop-up presentation 1 | The value of in-service teacher education
Presenter: Ben Beaumont
Professional qualifications can play a transformative role in teachers' development while allowing them to remain in the classroom. This session explores the design and impact of in-service teaching qualifications, with a focus on the CertPT and the refreshed DipTESOL. It will examine how these programmes support reflective practice, strengthen teaching expertise, and create meaningful pathways for career progression. Drawing on practical examples, the talk will consider what makes in-service teacher education effective and relevant in today's ELT landscape.
