This session aims to delve into the underpinnings of play in learning - suitable for both younger and older learners - as developing creativity is a significant aspect in education. We will also dive into strategies for planning play-based learning experiences, bridging the gap between freedom and structured learning as well as assessment and inclusion which are key pedagogical concerns.
About the presenter
Teresa Gallette has been an ESOL teacher since 1986. She holds the Diploma in TESOL and TESOL Certificate (Trinity College London), CEELT (UCLES), DELTA A (Dickens Institute), On-line Tutor Training Courses (UCLES).
She is also a teacher trainer, Trinity Cert TESOL, TYLEC and Diploma tutor as well as TKT tutor being CPD one of her main interests.
She has worked as an educational consultant and teacher trainer for Oxford University Press and presented at several seminars in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Paraguay. She has done research on portfolio assessment with children and young adolescents, on the implementation of ICT in the classroom and worked as a remote CEIBAL teacher.
