This specialist certificate is designed for qualified English language teachers and is designed to equip them with the skills and knowledge to teach English to children and adolescents in the age range 7–16.
TYLEC courses are designed to build knowledge, understanding and confidence in areas such as using resources, classroom management and lesson planning. They also raise awareness of the context and theory of language teaching and learning to children and adolescents. Validated courses build on pedagogical and practical skills and also give participants a firm foundation for self-evaluation and further professional development.
