Julia achieved a distinction in her Grade 8 piano exam in November 2022 with a score of 91/100 at the age of 15. This was only 8 months after taking her online Trinity Grade 7 piano exam in March 2022 with a score of 96/100.

She has worked extremely hard to achieve this, practicing almost every day at school and at home despite her school not offering GSCE Music. I have been extremely proud, seeing her take on the challenge with determination and diligence. Particularly considering the challenges of learning during lockdown, combined with a change of piano teacher.

These achievements have increased her confidence and she is now looking for more opportunities to perform, entering piano competitions, working on her diploma, and is hoping to start an A level music course this September.
